Going to http://si.wikipedia.org/ with a browser that still shows favicons (not Firefox), I get the default "W" icon. Confirming.

Wondering if such an icon change requires community consensus...

Seems to be working for me, maybe a cache issue.

Ah the issue reported in comment #3 has been fixed with bug 38036 :-]
