Description

Currently I see no way to switch - or to be more exact - to see in which other language Wikipedias a given article is available.

Use case (current situation):

  1. Search for AUSCANNZUKUS in my language (this is PL)
  2. I see there is not much info.
  3. I don't see a way to see if this is available on EN, so I change to non-mobile.
  4. After loading non-mobile page I can switch to English Wikipedia article.

I think a select drop-down a top of the page would work fine here as it doesn't take too much space and it is handled very nicely or at least correctly in all phones I've seen. Go button should only be visible for those phones that doesn't support JavaScript. Otherwise after selecting an option one should be redirected to the page in selected language.

I've now noticed (read about) that you can press the W icon to see the option I was talking about... If I wouldn't find news about this feature I would probably never figure this out. And I don't think its just because I'm ill now ;-).

A good way to hint that the icon is a button would be to add a down arrow beside it. But I think it wouldn't be a was of space if there would simply be "other languages" text label below search box that would show language options.

This should be addressed soon. It has been written as a story [1] so closing here
