Add ability to use semantic search fields
Open, LowestPublicFeature

Description

Request that ability to search on semantic fields is added to advanced search. Most document databases allow search by author, title, date published, publisher, ISBN etc. Particular problem on Wikisource where it is not possible to search for a phrase in the works of a particular author (that is author of the work, not of the wiki page).

Given the resources we have for working on Search, I just don't see this happening anytime soon. If you know someone with Lucene or Solr chops that can work on this, I'd love to get their help.

I think that even being able to restrict searches to a particular branch of the category tree would be great, and help considerably for this sort of thing at Wikisource.

May be worth incorporating into CirrusSearch.
