Hi, I just learned about this report thanks to a reply to my question at
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Help_desk#Media_RSS_feeds_for_POTD_and_Featured_pages
FeaturedFeeds, Assigned To: Max Semenik... I guess this needs an update. CCing Fabrice and Mark as per "Multimedia technical debt", just in case.
How complex would this implementation be? Enough complex to keep busy a GSoC/OPW developer one day? (not in the current round)
Fabrice, Mark, Max: Can you answer this, please:

By the way, is this indeed a problem of the FeaturedFeeds extension, or should this report live in a more appropriate context?
Haven't looked into it in detail, but I doubt it is complex enough for internship projects. Probably just adding a bunch of XML tags to a template.

No, it means that we don't have plans to work on this. But the request is valid, and patches are welcome :)
