Presently chillus in malayalam are being typed by the LETTER + CHANDRAKKALA + ] (ZWJ) combination as per the inscript standard.
As the Narayam produces standard form of chillus, it is requested to add more simpler combination for chillus. It is proposed to include a two stroke option, LETTER + ] in addition to the existing standard 3 stroke chillus for faster typing.

Inscript being a standard keybard llayout, defined by BIS, you need to give your feedback to CDAC(who develop the standard). The Inscript 2 standard is open for feedback for a long time and you can see relevant links at http://malayalam.kerala.gov.in In the proposed Inscript 2, chillu characters are placed in first layer, enabling people to type it using single keystroke. Please read the document and provide input to the designers of standard.
