Can you please look at Bug 32669 because mr wikimedians had asked more features for Narayam and there were discussions in mr wiki list about the default input method. We are just waiting for a go signal from mr wikimedians to enable Narayam in mr projects.

Gone throught the #32669. You can go ahead with the default which you mentioned on it. Since number of user on mrwikisource are not large, its impact will be less, and any modification required can be done as per Mahitgar's list of requests on mrwiki, if any. e.g. point 7 (modifying layoyt) etc.
