Description:
97-2004 doc file

Hi,

We are unable to upload DOC and XLS files, created with Microsoft Office on an Apple Mac platform, when we choose 97-2004 format.

Here is the debug message:

MimeMagic::improveTypeFromExtension: improved mime type for .doc: application/msword
MediaHandler::getHandler: no handler found for application/msword.
File::getPropsFromPath: /tmp/phpPKgA0J loaded, 102400 bytes, application/msword.
UploadBase::detectScript: checking for embedded scripts and HTML stuff
UploadBase::detectScript: no scripts found
ZipDirectoryReader: Fatal error: trailing bytes after the end of the file comment

It worked with Mediawiki 1.17. It doesn't anymore since MW 1.18.

bzimport set Reference to bz34797.
bzimport added a subscriber: Unknown Object (MLST).

That zip file is in a bad shape:

$ unzip Tes*
Archive: Test - 2007.doc
warning [Test - 2007.doc]: 6064 extra bytes at beginning or within zipfile

(attempting to process anyway)

From bug 24073, MS Word append a zip file after the doc. Might be a regression in 1.18

Yes, it's the same issue. Adding hartman to the bug as the solver of the previous one.

Hi,

The issue is still here, in MW 1.19.
