API documentation for prop=excerpts seems to be wrong
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The API documentation for prop=excerpts is not consistent.

The auto-generated documentation of the module
http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/api.php?action=help&querymodules=excerpts
lists the parameters as "exlength", "exlimit", "explaintext", and "excontinue", but then gives an example (that doesn't work)
<api.php?action=query&prop=excerpt&length=175&titles=Therion>
that calls the module "excerpt" (singular) and doesn't use the "ex" prefix on any if its parameters.

OTOH, the on-wiki documentation linked to from the auto version https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MobileFrontend#New_API lists the parameters as "length", "limit", "plaintext", and "continue", but then shows an example (that does work) using the parameter "exlength".

This all needs to be made consistent and correct...
