Narayam is currently available on ml,ta,si wiktionaries which includes Marathi layouts. Enabling Narayam across wiktionaries will need some consensus, although I agree that Narayam is useful in wiktionaries where usually more than 1 language is present in content.

Universal language selector will fix this, but meanwhile

should we enable Narayam across *all* wikis(all wiktionaries is asked for by Mahitgar) in cluster with $wgNarayamPreferenceDefaultValue = false option?, so Narayam is available in every wmf wiki for any user who wants it, for others it would just add an extra preference option.

$wgNarayamPreferenceDefaultValue can be set to true for the current list of wikis which have asked for Narayam to be deployed so anonymous users of these wikis will remain unaffected.

*Narayam is needed in Wikispecies being a multilingual project again

*Wikibooks & Wikiversity projects will benefit from Narayam, since language learning artcles are written and used

*Wikisource,Wikiquote,Wikinews unless those wikis are multi-script I dont see any benefit but no loss either

*About Wikipedia I beg to differ a bit as below
::In Wikipedia generally different scripts are needed only at two places one is inter-wiki linking and secondly in articles in introductory sentences to tkae note how a particular name (usually person and place names) is written in his/her/their native language.

::In interwiki linking Narayam is of no significance use since usually I am supposed to copy article name verbatim and go on pasting across wikis.

::Yes it is usefull for introductory sentences to tkae note how a particular name (usually person and place names) is written in his/her/their native language. But here also presently people usually copy paste it from English language wikipedia and that is better system; since english wikipedia gets high number of views, what is being written gets checked for accuracy.
*So I support adding Narayam for all scripts in Engilsh language wikipedia
::In other language wikipedian chance of visits from across all language to all articles is limited. For local communities it is defficult to ascertain and confirm accuracy of what is being written. While i hae faith in good faith still
*I am not sure to include all wikipedias but being selective would be better policy.

Thanks and regards

[Removing RESOLVED LATER as discussed in http://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-l/2012-November/064240.html . Reopening and setting priority to "Lowest". For future reference, please use either RESOLVED WONTFIX (for issues that will not be fixed), or simply set lowest priority. Thanks a lot!]

This will be done some day when the UniversalLanguageSelector is deployed everywhere.
