Does this also happen for you with a different network connection?
Which browser is this about?

The problem happens with FF 15, not happening with Google Chrome Version 22.0.1229.79 m, nor Opera, but Safari and IE cant has other problems. Let me have a look on it deeper.

No I havent tested other network connection yet.

Please provide a testcase (URL, like this is about Commons?) if this is still an issue (plus TimedMediaHandler also got deployed in the meantime).

Juan: Please provide a testcase in case that this is still a problem.

I have a problem with my external audiorecorder. And yes, it is still the problem.

Impossible to track down without a testcase - no indication this is not an issue in your audiorecorder...

Well, it is an issue in my audiorecorder. If you are asking me to come up with the sample, what I can do is, to record it with my audiorecorder. But If you say, that is not an issue - what are the other ways, how to make recording?

Uhm, no audio recording needed (I think I got comment 5 wrong, sorry for that - I was talking about a testcase, not about "proof" of the problem that you face).

So this seems to be an issue of the internal audio player of Firefox if I get it right. Still I'd like to have a testcase (a link to an ogg file on a Wikimedia website).

Well it is strange just Commons based audio files are problem. Other audiofiles playback well. For example here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bamj%C3%A1nsk%C3%A9_%C3%BAdol%C3%AD_%28verze_2684437%29.ogg

Test case for a file linked.

Can you still reproduce this with the latest version of Firefox?

This is being discussed at English Wiktionary [http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:Grease_pit/2014/September#Playing_audio_repeats_the_first_bit_on_the_second_play.]. I've been experiencing this on Firefox since the new player first came out, but it wasn't serious enough to pursue. It seems to apply to any audio file with no dead space at the beginning (and on those, it could be doing it, but repeated nothing sounds the same as nothing), with one good play followed by any number of stuttering ones. What I hear is the first part of the file starting to play for an instant before it starts playing again from the beginning. My current Firefox version is 16.0.2 (the processor on my Mac is too old for more recent versions). I haven't heard it on Safari, but I've only checked a couple. ~~~~
