squid3 used by mistake on some servers
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

squid3 error page "The requested URL could not be retrieved"

14.44 < paravoid> we had a failed disk in one of the backend squids
14.44 < paravoid> someone replaced that and reprovisioned the box
14.45 < paravoid> but we've changed the default distro for new installs to precise
14.45 < paravoid> and precise has squid3, which a) has that new error page, b) does not work with our configs at all

14.49 < paravoid> iow, a messup from our side, apologies.

Looks like there's more.

Someone rebooted that server and squid3 ran again. I've stopped it to immediately fix it and I'll work on giving a permanent solution now, as to not have this bite us again.
