Description

Description:
[[Special:Search]] is broken in the German Wikipedia. Nothing is found no matter what search term is entered. Please note that every search takes about 10 seconds. Probably some kind of timeout?

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search/some_example

No problem in the English Wikipedia. Also no timing issue. The search result is delivered in about 0.5 seconds.

Yes, it seems it's back online. What was wrong?

<apergos> the three hosts that were a bit spikey, I restarted lucene on them just in case but I think it probably didn't make any difference, they weren't in a hung state

So the short answer is, no idea. Those hosts already looked good in ganglia by the time I got to them.

I will close this for now. Please reopen this bug if it happens again. For the sake of completeness: This was reported by a lot of people in the German Wikipedia but currently the search works again for everybody.
