Installer refuses to use MySQL database names with "+" in it

Description

The new installer does not allow "+" in the MySQL database names. This is wrong, since it is a legitimate database name symbol. I would submit a fix myself, but I want first to hear from more MySQL-aware people about possible unforeseen implications of this.
