Description

jQuery's JSONP loading may not have a timeout, and doesn't give us clear feedback on whether the network is working.

install app (now with appcache)
turn on airplane mode
load app
wait while the spinner goes forever

Might want to ping a stub file on bits as on online check after a short timeout? Ick.

Unofficial Windows 8 & Firefox OS apps are not currently being worked on; switching old Bugzilla assignment back to none and subscribing myself instead. Volunteers welcome, and I'll be happy to help!
