Automatically suggest disambiguation pages
Open, LowPublicFeature

Description

Created an article wikiImporter on mw.org then visited "wiki Importer" that page is blank and has to be created, normally one would create a disambiguation page there or a redirect.

I think it would be much better if MW could list out "Did you mean wikiImporter?" on such an article by using its search index.

If that is possible I think it can somewhere remove the need for creating/editing disambiguation pages manually or at least make it redundant.

It sounds like you're proposing the automatic creation of redirects, not disambiguation pages.

A disambiguation is e.g. a page called Mercury that links to both Mercury (planet) and Mercury (element)

I am proposing automatic disambiguation pages. In this case, Mercury page could say "Are you looking for Mercury (planet) or Mercury (element)?" while you can still create that page.

Automatic redirects aren't a good thing, where would you redirect automatically to Mercury (planet) or Mercury (element)? confusion right.

In case of "wiki Importer" it can be a redirect but not an automatic one.
