We need a way to keep the sites table in wikidata and the clients in sync with the site matrix stuff, for example when we get new Wikipedias, Wikivoyage projects, etc.
It's a pain to keep track of this manually...

I don't thin Jeroen has done anything about this, not that I am aware of.
This is a deployment related thing and we need to hook into the existing processes for updating the interwiki prefixes and site matrix.
It shouldn't be that difficult to do.
