Description:
footercleanup (part of Vector) is enabled on the English Wikipedia and it really helps there, there's no reason not to turn it on for Commons.

I'm curious, why doesn't enwiki show as true there (wmgUseVectorFooterCleanup)? Is it enabled some other way?

I don't actually know, the Micro Design team deployed that one I'm pretty sure. How long should it take to propogate this?

It's merged, so it will take effect as soon as someone pulls that repo and does a scap, or a sync-file on that file. Basically, very soon.

What does it do? [[Extension:Vector#FooterCleanup]] says nothing.

If it's an obvious change, why was it done only on Commons? If it's not, why was it done without discussion? I'll notify [[commons:COM:VP]].

I've improved the docs. Basically, it makes minor adjustments to the interface, such as making the hidden category and template lists collapsible.

It shouldn't be too controversial.

Note, bug 45051 is about moving some of this to core.

Thank you very much.

I'm not so sure about the help page link, we can't know how wikis used it.

Yeah, on closer review you may be right about that part. For instance, on English Wikipedia (where it *is* removed), it links to [[Wikipedia:Cheatsheet]]
