So I assume there is no Wikidata entry and create a new item. When I add manually the link to the single Wikipedia article I will be told there is already an entry. This should not happen. When an entry in WD exists you should always be referred to WD.

Sorry, I still don't get the issue you are trying to report. Could you please do a step by step description of what I need to do to encounter this issue?

Again, what's the bug? What is a "mutation"? How should Wikidata know that two articles in two different languages belong together? This must be done by a user by "adding" the missing links. "Enriching" Wikidata is done by "adding links" to existing items (with either the popup or directly at Wikidata) or by creating new items (which can't be done with the popup but will be easier when bug 49105 is deployed to the Wikipedia projects; you can also use the "Page information" for now).

I asked multiple times for the exact steps how to reproduce your issue. As long as you are not able to do this this leads nowhere. I'm closing this now.

I may add that we are coming from opposite positions, to a large extend the interwiki links are a sideshow. The main thing of Wikidata is in the attributes that are being added.

Do you mean the fact that the link from Wikipedia to Wikidata says "edit links"? If so this will be solved very soon by a link in the "toolbox" that says "data item" or something like that.
