Expandable property information for items
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Meaning that item A used as property inside item B would have an arrow/option to display some properties of item A without visiting its page. The number of displayed properties could be around 5, with a "show more" option.

This is an interface solution came up when trying to solve the edition problem (displaying edition information from a work item page without having to open the edition item page), however once implemented it will benefit all Wikidata users.

This needs a serious discussion about design and implementation before someone starts working on it.

This should be done as a gadget. I'd rather not see even more information pressed into an already way too overloaded UI. It is already too hard to find the information you are already looking for because it is buried in other stuff. If some users want it they can turn on this gadget.
