Original Bug title:
VE does not allow selecting text in edit summary field and refuses input (and re-focus) completely after this field lost focus

At mediaWiki wiki, where VE is default, I was unable to complete my edit summary after I tried to select text that was greyed out.

I am using Firefox 21.0 and the issue occurred at https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Help:Extension:Translate/Translation_example&diff=prev&oldid=705601

This is now fixed in master, and we will make sure it gets rolled out to all wikis very soon. Sorry for this bug.
