toolbar content leaks into edit box using IE-10 in "compatibility mode"
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

button leak part 1

Note: this issue is somewhat similar, but not identical to bug 27698, so i'm opening a new ticket instead of reopening the old one.

REPRODUCTION:

0) find a machine with internet explorer (tested with 10, may occur in 8 or 9)

  1. activate "compatibility mode"
  2. open an article on mw or enwiki for edit
  3. open "Advanced" tab
  4. close edit window
  5. reopen edit window

WHAT WILL YOU SEE
Edit window remembers the opened toolbar, in this case "advanced". notice that some of the icons leak out of the toolbar onto the edit area itself. see screenshot #1.

REPRODUCTION PART 2

  1. fold the "advanced" toolbar
  2. open the "advanced" toolbar again

WHAT WILL YOU SEE
Some of the buttons are cropped and can't really be seen. see screenshot #2.

peace.

What do you mean 'edit window'?

what i really meant was "textarea", but you would need to ask any question if you just peek at the screenshots attached to the bug report. peace.
