I talked about it with OpenStack infrastructure team in July. They want to have it packaged but no work as started for now.

I filled a bug upstream to track the packaging progress https://bugs.launchpad.net/gear/+bug/1217298

Change 84022 had a related patch set uploaded by Hashar:
initial debian directory

Change 84022 abandoned by Hashar:
initial debian directory

Reason:
Upload to the python debian module team Subversion repository as r25880 :

http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/python-modules?view=revision&revision=25880

Will do the maintenance there :-)

https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/84022

I have uploaded a few more changes in the Debian svn repository. The package no more has any lintian errors.

Filled an ITP upstream:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=725081

As Alexandros noticed, the packaging effort is no more in Wikimedia Gerrit but on Debian SVN server under the python module packaging team umbrella:

svn+ssh://svn.debian.org/svn/python-modules/packages/python-gear

The file I published were not the correct one. I have deleted and recreated them :-]

Sponsored by Michael "mika" Prokop, jenkins-debian-glue author. It is pending inclusion in Debian.org now :-]

Pending upload in Debian \O/

The package has been uploaded on apt.wikimedia.org by Alexandros:
