All Echo notifications mentioning the acting user ("agent") should have his nick linked to his user page
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

All Echo notifications mentioning the acting user ("agent") should have his nick linked to his user page, to allow notif's recipient to quickly respond to the notif on agent's talk page.

Currently it seems only Thanks notifs do this.

(If the reasoning for not doing it was that users can now just ping each other to respond, let me just point out that some wikis, e.g. pl.wp, have a convention of *always* replying to user talk page messages on the other person's talk page, and old habits die hard :) )

bzimport set Reference to bz53174.
bzimport added a subscriber: Unknown Object (MLST).

Note that this behaviour is already present in [[Special:Notifications]], but is not present in the Notifications-flyout.

I agree that consistent linking would be good. (but see also bug 53564)

EBernhardson claimed this task.
EBernhardson subscribed.

The goal of the notifications was to have a single link per notification. This has diverged a little bit but adding a bunch of new links might not improve the user experience.
