AnomieBOT mentioned my username multiple names in this edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Possibly_unfree_files/2013_August_7&oldid=570775621&diff=prev and https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Possibly_unfree_files/2013_August_6&oldid=570775610&diff=prev

I assume that I would receive one notification for that edit. Instead I received a notification for each mention of my username. (see screenshot)

Agree that it's a feature not a bug. Although probably, notifications could be bundled.

Checked in betalabs - the issue (if it's an issue at all) is confirmed. The detailed steps to reproduce:

create several sections on a page
mention user A in each section
user A will receive a mention notification from each mention.

The screenshot for the page (https://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/w/index.php?title=Mavetuna703&type=revision&diff=481852&oldid=476074) with three sections and with a mention in each section:

The mentioned user - ET13 receives three notification and one additional one:

Doesn't sound like high priority anymore.
