view edit link on thanks leads to thanking user, not the edit in question
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I got a thanks today. I clicked on "View edit" to see what it was about. This lead to the user page of the user who thanked me, not his edit as I expected.

Possibly due to me using an oldish browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.16) Gecko/20121207 Iceweasel/3.5.16 (like Firefox/3.5.16)

Version: unspecified

Is this in the flyout or on Special:Notifications? If it's the flyout, you have to exactly click on view edit, anywhere else will take you to the user's userpage.

Its the flyout, however I did exactly click on the view edit link (The status bar of my browser had the url I wanted to go to, and I tried multiple times just to be sure. Eventually I even got to the right place by right clicking and selecting copy url then pasting that into my address bar, so I think I managed to click on the link).

As an aside, why is the default link if you just click on the flyout, the user in question, wouldn't you assume that usually people would want to see which edit, not who thanked them? Busy users sometimes make over a 100 edits in a day...)
