Description

A database query error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software.

Function: MessageGroupStats::clear

Error: 1213 Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction (10.64.16.28)

Was trying to save an edit to this banner, at around 21:30 UTC today. https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:CentralNoticeBanners/Edit/B13_0701_txt_Fsion_dr_enYY

A second attempt at saving worked, and I haven't seen any similar error since. Seemed serious enough to be worth logging though.

Is there a test environment where this scenario can be reproduced? Which is it? How can we access it? What is the exact scenario (i.e. steps to reproduce)?

This error occasionally comes up in translatewiki.net and wmf, but it is relatively rare. I don't have ideas how to go forward with this.
