When reporting issues like this, please include which browsers the issue happens on (and if it happens on all the browsers you've tested on). Please also include if its all videos, or only a specific one. If this doesn't happen when viewing directly, please include if it happens when viewing the transcoded version directly, or just when viewing the original video directly.

For what its worth, on my browser (firefox 3.5) I see a very mild amount of stuttering when I view using the kultra player. I get the exact same amount of stuttering when I view the ogv file directly in the browser (both the transcoded and the original). However if I download the video, and play it locally on mplayer (For both the original, and for the 480p ogg transcode) I don't get any stuttering.

When viewing in chrome (27.0.1453.81 beta), I didn't get any stuttering when viewing as 480p ogg, 480p webm, or as original video (Other then some buffering when doing original video).

Not sure what was the OPs browser but I tested in FF 20.0 OpenSuse. Nonetheless I can not confirm the issue with FF 25 Fedora on my home connection right now. Though it seems unlikely that the problem's source was connection related, it may seem plausible when taking into account the recent server performance issues in the last week(s).

Well connection issues could trigger buffering, which might lead to starting and stopping while the player waits for the rest of the video to load.

I hear rumors that, at least in some browsers (Chrome on Linux, I think) and conditions (a long ogv video left playing without moving cursor), the server says 304 Not modified after 12.5 minutes
