VisualEditor: Cursor jumps to the beginning of first line after changing the heading format of a text in an article

Steps to reproduce:

1.Click on the Edit button in a page
2.Select a text by dragging with mouse control.
3.Change the heading format of the text to any format for example:heading/paragraph etc.

Observed Result:
The cursor moves to a position which is the middle of the first and second line of the page

This issue is still happening however I am changing the steps and observed result as follows:

Steps to reproduce:

1.Open a page with VE
2.Select any text with keyboard/mouse control/double click
3.Change the heading format of the section to any format, for example:Preformatted/Sub-heading 1 etc.

Observed Result:
The cursor jumps to the beginning of the page.Now Type something on the first line or apply a format on the first line say "Page title", it actually adds the text in the text position of step 2 replacing replacing its previous content and style.
