VisualEditor: Inserting a hieroglyphics block when the cursor is in the middle of a link causes a broken inspector to show, newline to be inserted
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Screenshot

Steps to reproduce:

1.Open the editor
2.Place the cursor in the middle of a text
3.Then click on More>Hieroglyphics
4.The inspector does not open just the < icon in that position.
5.Save the page
6.Reopen the editor.

Observed Result:
The text after that cursor position gets shifted to the newline and a return arrow appears after reopening the editor.

For a text which is not link it just goes to the next line but the return arrow does not get added.

While going to the next line it also adds an empty <hiero> tags in that position.

I believe that this is now fixed… can't really check any more, though.
