Risker pointed out marking reports as a duplicate of a WONTFIXed report "without consideration to whether the continued reporting of the same problem from different users should be re-evaluated."
This is one thing that the https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/duplicates.cgi?maxrows=25&openonly=0&changedsince=90 duplicates statistics could be used for, but it currently does not display bug resolutions.

Note to myself when creating patch for upcoming 4.4: Only upstream differences between 4.2 and 4.4 version of template/en/default/reports/duplicates-table.html.tmpl are the new license header plus removing the line "[% PROCESS "global/field-descs.none.tmpl" %]".

So we uncovered that the two most duplicated rejected requests are (ex aequo!) the two rather obscure:
Bug 9530 13 0 Parser WONTFIX trivial Low --- Section heading anchors shouldn't begin with invalid characters
Bug 2760 13 0 Page editing WONTFIX normal Low --- Clarify the "use external editor" preference
Where the latter was superseded by killing the preference in question altogether. Big fun!
