Yes, no need for them to be run every time a user requests them. it would be better to cache the results for a given period (2 weeks perhaps?).

Added in r51, except for CrossNamespaceLinks, which doesn't seem to exist. (Is that an extension of some kind?)

Only enabled for ar.wikipedia.org.

I suppose the reason for limiting the output to just 1K is the lack of paging?

Okay, I added CrossNamespaceLinks in r55.

The limit is mainly because of the lack of paging, although in some cases it can make the query take longer to run, as well (but I don't think that applies to any of these). I'll open a separate bug to add paging to the results.
