Following situation:

Page A (any page):

• was edited by myself
• after that was edited by Merlissimo and he is the last editor of the page at the moment of bot run

Page B (my bot output/report page; SumDisc)

• Page A gets reported with Merlissimo as last reporter
• any other page gets reported, thus Merlissimo's sign is not at the end

Page C (Merlissimo's bot output/report page)

• Page B gets accidentally reported because of 'getbacklinks' !

Backlinks are at the moment also the most time consuming part during bot run. For some user there are > 3000 backlinks to process each run. This has to be solved.

Not solved but reduced the check frequency; will only be checked once a week... this should be sufficient, because this is not main source of info. It is thought to make the results complete and hold long term threads...

Changed again, since some accounts have > 6000 backlinks. Now the max. for 1 day a week is 2000. A nice thing would be to have a time sorted backlink list, but this is not possible since mw database holds no such data, or at least the API and framework do not return any.

Discussed with Merlissimo in #wikipedia-de-bots (irc). Since this bug does not appear that often, the solution was delayed till later. There is already some code implemented as possible solution, but not used (yet). A few things have to be considered:

• autoexclude (DRTRIGON-32) by adding all other users result pages can cause problems for users discussing with each other (and using the bot) since this could break such notifications
• another solution could be to change or suppress the signatures distributed by the bot
• at the moment I'm believing the best solution is like for interwiki conflicts to solve such things by hand (and breaking the cycle by removing signatures)
