Internal links on PDFs should point to the PDF itself (whenever possible)
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Currently, any internal link inside of a book in PDF generated by Collection will point to the source wiki. Instead, they should point to the PDF itself, if the target page is also part of the same collection (which is very common in case of Wikibooks, where a chapter often links to another chapter, and all chapters of a book are in the same collection).

@bmansurov - would this be possible in proton books?

Not an issue with Proton PDFs. Would still be an issue with books most likely.

MSantos subscribed.

Considering the Component Responsibility page.

Extension:Collection is bugfix maintained by cscott, but Readers Web and Product Infrastructure have decommissioned some pieces and are taking on support.

From the Extension:Collection perspective this looks like a new feature, and therefore won't be prioritized by us since the project is deprecated. If the problem is found in Proton (which seems to not be) please feel free to reopen this task and ping us.
