As a logged in user, edit any page on http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/ with VisualEditor.
User sees the ve-init-mw-viewPageTarget-loading bars moving, but VE never arrives.

Is the version of VE referenced by the mediawiki/extensions meta repo?
http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/Special:Version says it's got VE 37e90c1 from yesterday – https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/108713/ – which isn't the latest version.

That is bug 49846 (VE not being automatically updated on beta) which is now fixed.
VisualEditor is working for me on beta. I noticed some files belonged to root user, I have changed back to be owned by mwdeploy:mwdeploy. That might have caused some update issue since the update job runs as mwdeploy.
