Notifications in mobile view should be sorted most recent first
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Tapping the notification icon in mobile view takes you to the list of all your notifications. However, they are sorted oldest-first, meaning that you have to scroll down to the end of the page. In other words, when the page loads the notification you're expecting to see isn't visible. The first time this happened to me I didn't notice the sorting order and thought the notification had vanished. Reversing the sort order to newest-first would resolve this.

I was browsing using IE Mobile 9 on Windows Phone 7.8.

This appears to be related to T46296.

Ack, sorry, typo. Bug 44296.

The same ordering bug occurs in the desktop Echo flyout, bug 69919, so unless mobile has special Echo code, this seems a dupe.

Bug 69919 is only for the new messages panel you see in the desktop Echo flyout if you have Flow notifications, so it's different. Sorry for the spam.

I don't think this is still present. I've received mobile notifications recently, and they appeared at the top of the notifications view. Further, when I don't have unread notifications and go to that view, it's still sorted with newest on top.

Tested in Firefox on Android.
