Having a representative sample of the width / height (and maybe DPI?) of users would be helpful in a bunch of design decisions (including, but not limited to the narrow column layout stuff).

Joking aside, I think that this task could be superseded by @mpopov's work.

Aye, once we get the preliminary privacy risk assessment back from security and it's a green light, we can make a task for the device capability data collection and roll this into it.
