Flow: email notification for Flow mentions gives a link to a blank Flow page if that topic was suppressed
Open, MediumPublicFeature

Description

Workflow to reproduce:

  1. User X is mentioned in a Flow post.
  2. An email is sent to X's email address, telling him that he was mentioned in a Flow post and providing a link to that post.
  3. That entire topic gets suppressed.
  4. The link now leads to a (mostly) blank Flow page.

Example of such a link pointing to a suppressed Flow post: http://ee-flow.wmflabs.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Flow&workflow=rplm8a152na6ap7w#flow-post-rplm8a19r0l4b9d8

My suggestion for a way to fix this is to make these links instead say "Sorry, this post has been suppressed." with a link to a page about suppression so the user knows what that means.

bzimport set Reference to bz61714.
bzimport added a subscriber: Unknown Object (MLST).

When trying to see suppressed posts, it is now showing an error message "Insufficient permission to access the content."

That's still a little obscure though, and we could probably improve on that reporting.
