Please see Bug 61220. I tested three different browsers in three OS and the problem is identical. Meaning that this is a Wikimedia software problem.
Browsers tested:
Firefox 27.0.1 in Windows, Ubuntu, and Mac OSX
Safari in Mac OSX
Chromium in Ubuntu.

Please use my public Wikisource account User:IneuwPublic where the Preferences are set to display the problem. I am using my regular account User:Ineuw which is set to the legacy toolbar.
I don't manage to reproduce the error. I've no magic right on Wikimedia wikis that would allow me to see your user preferences in Wikisource (which language?). Please, provide them and check twice it's not a user script or a local gadget that cause the error.
Hi Tpt. You have an account on English WS. Please go to Preferences / Editing and select 'Enable enhanced editing toolbar' and unselect 'Show edit toolbar'.
I use the Vector skin and the problem was tested without any user defined javascript and CSS. It was also confirmed by Andre Klapper in Bug 61220.
This post is almost a duplicate of 61220 and is only created because I couldn't change Bug 61220 to indicate that it's a Proofread page. (But now, I know how).
So, it's the same bug as 61220. I've just managed to reproduce it and I've written a change that should fix the fatal error (some love is still requested to have exactly the same UI as with 'Show edit toolbar' selected). For more informations see my reply on bug 61220.
