Description

Although HTMLForm has required fields, and as such will enforce those on submission, there is no way to know which fields are actually required.

It'd be nice if HTMLForm could display this (with an asterisk or similar and a message further down etc) to the user at the point they are filling out the form

The new ooui mode does trigger a red border on required fields, doesn't it?
