See attached image. Encountered as a side effect of bug 54202.

The image gets the right size but cannot load so we see the checkered background and the browser's error icon. The whole thing is blurred and stays that way. Looks really confusing.

I think https://wikimedia.mingle.thoughtworks.com/projects/multimedia/cards/271 will fix this; I am opening the ticket for now to keep track.

Closing as worksforme as I have no idea how to reproduce this specific issue, haven't seen it since, and the suspected root cause (no handling for promise rejections) was fixed.
