Internal links containing umlauts only partly coloured (if created like "Maßkrüge")
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Author: tim.ivorson

Description:
To reproduce
Create a link by double square bracketing part of a word, such that there is an umlaut outside the brackets (eg, Maßkrüge).

Actual result
Although the page text and link destination are as expected, the word containing the link only becomes a link up to (and not including) the umlaut.

Expected result
The whole word should become a link.

Thanks for taking the time to report this!

This is a duplicate; I just cannot find the original report...

This is controlled by the regex in $linkTrail in the language files and for english there are only the letters a-z. You can change it to Maßkrüge to fix this on a english wiki.
Works as expected.

Change 195439 abandoned by Amire80:
Umlauts are displayed fully colored within a internal link.

Reason:
Shouldn't be done for English.
