As a naive user who was aware that I had enabled "Automatically enable all new beta features" in my beta preferences, I was surprised to find the top of my wiki pages altered.

In going to disable the new features, I disabled "Winter" properly but it was not clear to me why all the styling changes were not reverted. It was not clear that "Compact personal bar" was another new beta feature entirely separate from "Winter"

As a naive user, it is difficult to identify two different beta features that are perceived to be a single change at a single time.

Alternately, releasing "Compact personal bar" and "Winter" with a significant delay between them might be another strategy to keep beta surprises to a minimum.
