VisualEditor: [Regression wmf3] Changing a citation in the citation tool inserts a new citation, doesn't replace the old one
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Intention:
Fix the URL in a citation

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open an existing citation, using the citation tool.
  1. Change something.
  1. Apply changes.
  1. Look, now you have two: first an old/wrong version, then a new/corrected version.

Reproducible: Always

Same problem in Firefox and Safari. No problems with this using the Insert>Reference editor, even though that opens the citation tool for editing citation templates.
