If i go manually to https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/09/Pacotilha_poetica.pdf/page3-1024px-Pacotilha_poetica.pdf.jpg I get this error message:

"Error generating thumbnail

As an anti-spam measure, you are limited from performing this action too many times in a short space of time, and you have exceeded this limit. Please try again in a few minutes."

With certainly is bogus, since I can't tried to access any redlink from nsPage on any Wikisource since 29 April

None, as of https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64622#c7 the thumbnails are generated after some random number of attempts for each page.

Don't known if it is related only to .djvu and .pdf files or all file formats BTW
