Description:
The one thing that stops adoption of Mediawiki at our company is the lack of support for image inserts from clipboard through a simple ctrl-v (or similar).

People are used to doing this in their Word document. When writing product documentation, they do not want to save every screenshot to a file, upload the file and the include the reference in the article. It's far too cumbersome.

Browsing bugzilla, you can find similar requests (cf. bugs 21557, 37932, 53235) , but they never seem to get anywhere (because they are entered in the wrong category?).

So here's a new attempt to get it on the list by placing it in the "General/Unknown" category.

It looks like BlueSpice, which is based on MediaWiki, allows doing just that, so I know the request is feasible.

Hello, this isn't really a new bug and still an feature/extension request :) Maybe it's possible to enhance the WikiEditor with a button "add image" (like in MobileFrontend), so not a really crtl+v feature, but you can upload/insert images directly from editor, but must save the image locally first.
