Regression: popup windows go beyond right margin, hiding most recent data
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

  1. Go to e.g. http://korma.wmflabs.org/browser/gerrit_review_queue.html with the default font size of your browser. Probably the content of the page will be close to the right margin of the browser window.
  1. Hover over the last month in the graphs, in order to bring the popup window with the data.

EXPECTED

Popup window appears showing all the data.

ACTUALLY

Popup window appears, but half of it goes beyond the right margin. Trying to scroll to the right of the page won't be enough. You are basically missing the most recent info of all graphs.

The only way I found to circumvent this problem was to reduce the font size in Chrome, shrinking the whole content, being able to see the entire popup windows.

This is a regression from the past weeks. Before it worked fine.

Ok, the problem is with the new labels that are longer.

Probably the best solution is to cut the name of the label.

We will try options and share in this ticket!

Alright, this works now. Thank you!

We have this problem again at http://korma.wmflabs.org/browser/gerrit_review_queue.html

The problem is not the length of the strings as much as the position of the popup. No matter how short the strings are, the window will go off the screen when the last pointer is too close to the right margin. See for instance the ranking of repos.
