It seems adding a no-value and some-value snak is only possible in English. Nothing happens in at least French and German.

I do have the same problem in English.
Result of my first debugging attempt: The event "afterchange" is registered in snakview.js:_buildSnakTypeSelector() and it is fired in snakview.SnakTypeSelector.js:_setSnakType() but it doesn't make it through.
