Steps to reproduce:

1.Open a page with mobile VE
2.Do not place your cursor anywhere on CE but try to select a node
Observed Result:
The semi-highlight of lighter shade appears over the node and tapping on it for the second time selects it with darker highlight.

It might get resolved with :https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57177

Still I am filing it as a separate issue.
