Flow's auto links for post author, currently display all userpage links in blue, and all usertalkpage links in red, regardless of age-existence.

Links should be blue for existing pages, and red for non-existent pages.

This seems to work for me... Links to talk page are red when they don't exist, blue when they do when I hover over a username. Please reopen and provide additional information if you are still seeing this problem Nick.
