Confirmed with Opera 9/Mac.

Googling around, it looks like the oncontextmenu event which is used to
implement this isn't supported by Opera. Personally I think this "feature" is
pretty awful anyway, in part because it does interfere with the regular context
menu functioning of every user interface out there, so that's ok with me. ;)

Sooner or later we'll probably remove the option.

Tweaking product, not WMF issue. Also, I kind of agree with Brion about removing the feature. Do we have any stats on how widely this is actually used?

This 'feature' works in the latest version of opera, 11.50 on Windows. Further, if certain old versions of opera do not allow us to do something on a right click, then there's really nothing we can do to change that but file an upstream bug, and since their latest version appears to implement the requisite event, I'll close this worksforme. If anyone does want to discuss whether it is useful to maintain this feature, then feel free to open a separate bug or discussion in the appropriate fora, however since this feature appears to default to disabled, I would say it does no harm.
